I want to begin by thanking you for visiting the Bristol County District Attorney’s web-site. I believe you will find this web-site includes a plethora of useful information for witnesses of crime, victims of crime, those affected by crime and other concerned area residents. The web-site will include the most up to date and accurate information on a wide array of topics ranging from child abuse to victim services to open meeting law violations. Among many other things, residents can use this site to learn how to get to a specific court, find resources for a particular problem a family member may be encountering or to keep up to date on the latest news being generated out of this office. The site will also include many links to various social service agencies and other groups committed to the bettering our shared community. I will be utilizing this site as an interactive extension of my office. Please check back frequently, as the site will be constantly updated with more information for you. I fully understand that in today’s web-based society, quick access to concise information is an imperative. To further my goals of openness and accessibility with the public, I will soon be posting audio and video clips so that you, the concerned citizen, can hear me speak about new initiatives, important cases and vital law enforcement/crime prevention issues of the day. The streaming audio/video clips will be posted on the “Podcasts” section of the site. Furthermore, it is my hope that the public will feel even more connected to this office by checking out our press releases, clicking our links to the latest news stories, keeping up to date on upcoming events and by taking advantage of the wealth of information that can be found in the various different sections of our new office web-site. I strongly believe that the sections regarding our Community Affairs Unit, our Special Victims Unit and our Victim/Witness Services Unit will be beneficial to anyone who finds themselves involved in a criminal case or is looking for a way to partner with us to follow through on the most important prevention measures we plan to soon put in place throughout the county. We at the District Attorney’s Office know that the criminal justice system can often times be confusing and overwhelming; especially for someone who has recently been the victim of a crime, a witness to a crime or been affected by a crime. That is why I am making sure that this web-site will provide you with the most resources, the most information and the most help available to make your experience with the criminal justice system as easy and unobtrusive as possible. Once again, thank you for visiting your Bristolda.com web-site. Sincerely, C. Samuel Sutter
